Why convert to LED... Make an informed choice
One of the many green trends on the rise is LED retrofitting for aging signage. As the lighting components in a sign begin to fail there are several options to correct the situation:
- repair the existing lighting - replace with a new sign - retrofit your existing sign to light emitting diodes (LED’s).
Some of the benefits of retrofitting to LED include reduced maintenance and energy costs, reduced waste going to landfills and stronger consistency in illumination during the cold winter months. Retrofitting to LED can reduce energy demands by as much as 85%. With today’s energy prices theses savings certainly help to offset the capital cost of LED retrofit.
LED’s can potentially provide more than 10 years maintenance free performance. The lighting modules are rated for up to 100,000 hours of life. To encourage your decision to go green, the Government offers rebates for energy
saving retrofits at both the Provincial and Federal levels through Natural Resources Canada. We will happily complete the required paperwork and pass on the rebate to you.
